A Dissection of Photographic Technique.

A Brief History

I started shooting in 2001 when my parents took me on a five week trip to England, Scotland, and Wales. Inspired by the incredible areas like the Lake District, Lindisfarne, and Loch Ness I was hooked. I spent days going through and examing every detail of the images from the trip.

Not long after we got back my sister started studying photography. Taking local classes and workshops, and then even moving to Arizona to study at the University of Arizona. I watched her progression with interest but hadn't yet committed.

So the beginning of 2006, I get serious. I spend my savings on a new camera body and a couple of lenses. I start shooting every day and studying and disassembling the images. Figuring out what works and what my style is. Discovering what it is I have to say with these images.

So we're up to today. Starting this photoblog. I'm going to post new images every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It will encourage me to continue shooting creatively while I launch a career in photography. So thanks for sharing my journey!
